At first, it was just a rough idea of me planning to watch a movie called "District 9". But who is going to watch with me ? This is definitely not a mainstream movie in Malaysia which will help cinemas making a lot of profit such as the Transformers franchise and the recent G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cockroach. I think not many cinema-goers will spend their time or money for such movie(D-9 i mean).
Gladly, I found 2 friends that were available since they planned to hang out to catch some breath. Had a wonderful dinner at Queenbay Mall and then head for the movie xD. Upon queuing up to buy the tickets, i kept telling Tim that they can watch other movie if they wanted to instead of D-9. I told them that D-9 might be a "Cloverfield"/documentary style of movie and don't expect too much of a motion picture style will come out. By the way, they insisted on following me...bagusnya(xD).
The movie started. And it's REALLY a documentary style. Good director of photography though :D variety style of shots being used. I don't know how to describe or label those shots. Go watch it to get what i mean xD. Yea, almost half of the movie gone and Chloe who sits beside me requested to go outside. I wonder what happened. After 20 minutes, she came back with an "asam" sweet or something. I think she might be dizzy after coping with the pace of the camera shootings. I asked her what happened, and she just smiled. ok . Don't mind that. Watching D-9 more important xD. The storyline got more interesting at the 2nd half of the film and it slowly turns into a motion picture style. I'm not gonna say thank god, but I'm quite sure Tim and especially Chloe will xD. However, I'm gonna say that it's really a good piece of work because it managed to keep my eyes stay glued on the screen without questionning much about the "tak-masuk akal plot and scene". Finally, the movie ends WITHOUT any dissapoinment. The same goes to Tim but for Chloe, I'm not quite sure haha. Cheers to Chloe and Tim for accompanying me to watch this movie.

ReplyDeletehonestly i cnt stand for ths scene r crimson,its make me creep *geli*, but the storyline n camera shooting r good...at least i wnt feel regret 2 go back finish the movie, after 20 mtns i lepak at outside...ahahahaha XD
